We are delighted to announce that Language Insight’s Charity of the Year for 2020-2021 is Mind. Mind is a charity that raises awareness for mental health & also campaigns to improve mental health services. We will be hosting fundraising events throughout the year to raise money for Mind and to raise awareness about mental health in the workplace.

We have chosen Mind as our Charity of the Year as mental health is something that we take very seriously as a company. We try to support our staff as much as possible with their mental health and try to make our offices a fun & enjoyable place to work. During and after COVID-19, our nurses, doctors, and anyone else struggling at this time, may need support with their mental health, which is another one of the many reasons why we have chosen Mind as our Charity of the Year.

Language Insight’s 1500km fitness challenge

Language Insight’s first fundraising event for Mind begins on Monday 27th April and it is a ‘1500km fitness challenge’. For this challenge, 15 members of staff have volunteered to take part and it involves each of them walking/running 5km every day for 20 consecutive days. This means that by the 16th of May, each one of our volunteers will have walked 100km, which is 1500km in total between them all. 1500km is roughly the distance from Land’s End to John O’Groats!

Our staff who are taking part in the challenge have been asking their friends and family to sponsor them by donating through Language Insight’s JustGiving page. We are aiming to raise at least £1000 from this fundraising event, which would be a great start to our year of fundraising for Mind. If you would like to support us with our first fundraising event, please visit our JustGiving page: https://www.justgiving.com/fundraising/language-insight

Please note: All funds donated through Language Insight’s JustGiving page will go directly to Mind.

We appreciate any donations that are made and would like to thank you for helping us to support Mind and all of the hard work they do to raise awareness for mental health. If you would like to know more about the amazing work that Mind do, please visit their website: www.mind.org.uk
