Language Insight is expanding our Project Management team in the Americas and is looking for an enthusiastic and motivated Project Coordinator, who is pursuing to develop their career in the translation industry. The right candidate must be proactive, display a professional attitude, have the willingness to learn, and a desire to put clients first.

The position is remote and candidates will be based in Latin America to support our US team's working hours - 9am to 5:30pm EST (Monday to Friday). Some overtime after 5:30pm might be necessary on busy days/periods.

What does the role involve?

The Project Coordinator will primarily support our US clients, mainly across the Market Research sector, and will be responsible for handling multiple projects throughout their life cycle. This role will help ensure Language Insight remains one of the market leaders in the translation industry, enabling us to support clients across the world.

As this role will require autonomous working, Language Insight will provide a comprehensive training period of approximately 3-4 months (depending on individual progression) at the start of the contract. This training period will give the Project Coordinator an opportunity to develop their professional skills and equip them with the knowledge and tools needed for the position. During the training period, the candidate will be expected to work UK hours 0900 – 1730, so that they can be trained by our most experienced members of the team.

As part of the Project Coordinator role, you will:

  • Develop an understanding of the Translation and Market Research Industries.
  • Manage the full cycle of language services for our clients (from file prepping and quoting to delivering), ensuring that quality control measures have been adhered to.
  • Develop trusted relationships with clients, colleagues, and linguists.
  • Work closely with the Project Management team to offer support and share ideas on best practices.
  • Support our US clients by providing excellent customer service through responsiveness and a consultative approach.
  • Manage and distribute the workload among internal and external linguists appropriately.
  • Ensure projects maintain a high level of quality and professional standards in line with our ISO 9001, 17100 and 27001 accreditations.
  • Ensure all admin is up-to-date at all times, and profit margins are healthy.
  • Learn how to use Translation Management Software and CAT tools to manage translation assets, such as glossaries, term bases, etc.
  • Support your UK colleagues by ensuring their projects continue to run smoothly after their working hours and provide them with complete handovers at the end of your shift.
  • Meet invoicing deadlines and quarterly targets.

What skills are needed for this role?

  • 1 year of experience working as a Project Manager in the Translation industry.
  • Experience in MS Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Excellent written and oral communication.
  • Exceptional attention to detail.
  • A desire to learn and contribute to efficiencies.
  • Exceptional customer service.
  • Ability to multi-task and work under pressure.

Please note that this will be a contractor role but we are looking for a long-term collaboration and the successful candidate will be considered a full-time member of the Language Insight team.

The Candidate

The Role

As a Sales Executive at Language Insight, you will work together with your manager, the Director of Sales, who will provide you with training and support. Your primary role will be to introduce international businesses, across various sectors, to the language services and solutions provided by Language Insight. Alongside the Director of Sales, you will help to identify the challenges faced by potential clients in order to offer practical and sustainable language solutions.

This is a full-time remote position. We are looking for candidates who are English natives or fluent in English to C2 level (according to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages or CEFR) and who can work UK hours 0900 – 1730 Monday to Friday.

All candidates must have a permanent right to work in the UK as we are unable to sponsor any Visas for this role, now or in the future.

As part of the Sales Executive role you will:

  • learn all of the services offered by Language Insight and how these services benefit our clients;
  • work towards targets and goals set by your manager to ensure your personal and professional development, and the growth of Language Insight;
  • create sales plans with the support of your manager to help you achieve long-term personal and business growth;
  • generate new business via various methods, such as cold calling, meetings, emails, and networking;
  • problem solve and negotiate with clients;
  • utilise Language Insight’s CRM to manage and document relevant client information securely;
  • work closely with international colleagues to onboard new clients;

Salary

Base: £24,000 - £27,000 based on experience

OTE: Will be made available to all sales members from their second year in the business. OTE may be possible in the first year depending on the experience of the candidate.

Bonuses: Bonuses may be provided in the first year, but this is discretionary and will be based on the company’s overall performance.

What does the role involve?

Language Insight is looking for enthusiastic and passionate translators native in German to join our in-house team on a full-time basis. The role is ideally based in Preston but we will also consider remote applications. However, due to the nature of the role, we are only able to take into consideration candidates who already live in the UK and have no visa requirements, or candidates who have the right to live and work in Spain.

All candidates applying for this role must have an MA in Translation or have at least 5 years of experience working as a translator.



Job Purpose:
As Junior Translator, your main role will be to support Language Insight’s Translation teams and your colleagues in your language team with translations, reviews, Quality Assurance checks and other language-related tasks, maintaining high-quality standards and ensuring deadlines are met. Language Insight’s core client base requires work in the Medical field. Training will be given and you will have the opportunity to learn from your colleagues as well as a large network of freelancers with years of experience in the field.



Tasks/Duties include:

  • Translations from English into your native language, with a focus on healthcare topics.
  • Running quality assurance checks on your own work and taking responsibility for the quality of your own work.
  • Incorporating feedback provided by senior colleagues or freelancers into your work.
  • Carrying out various other language-related tasks as required, with training, such as implementing edits and client feedback, understanding and carrying out overlays and link checking, running quality checks on files transcribed by freelancers, finalising transcriptions and translations in your and other languages.
  • Maintaining your own records and admin, where needed.
  • Carrying out translation and QA into English, if applicable.
  • Working towards proofreading other translator’s work and answering client queries.
