Monday 8th May marks World Red Cross Day and in honour of this, we would like to announce that Language Insight has chosen the British Red Cross to be our Charity of the year 2023!Each year our team takes part in various fundraising events to raise donations for our chosen charity to help give them as much support as possible to continue the amazing charitable work that they do. Since 2020 we have worked with some amazing charities and we look forward to continuing this initiative in the years to come. The British Red Cross is a registered UK charity that was started over 150 years ago and helps millions of people in the UK and around the world get the support they need when a crisis strikes such as the recent earthquakes in Turkey and Syria. Internationally, the British Red Cross provides aid to people in emergencies and also supports refugees, survivors of trafficking, and those facing chronic hunger. They are an impartial organisation and their neutrality allows them to reach people caught up in conflicts or other crises across the world. They also aim to provide essential support for survivors who have lost their homes, belongings, livelihoods, and loved ones. In the UK the British Red Cross offers emergency service support for our public services such as providing ambulances and emergency service volunteers during surge demand, peak periods, and adverse weather. They also offer cost of living support, mobility support, refugee services, and support for victims of modern slavery and trafficking. Throughout 2023 we will be fundraising for the British Red Cross to help support them as much as possible.
