Translators Without Border’s Mission

Translators Without Borders’ mission is to provide people access to vital content in their language by:

• Providing aid in humanitarian crisis response through translation and interpreting

• Providing translation and simplification services that are culturally appropriate, accessible and open-source

• Building language translation capacity at the local level

• Raising awareness globally of language barriers

During our first year of sponsorship, Language Insight has helped Translators Without Borders work towards closing the language gaps that disrupt critical international development efforts worldwide and our second year of sponsorship will allow this work to continue.

“Translators without Borders is happy to welcome Language Insight, a company that’s widely recognized and highly regarded for its translation and language services, as a sponsor for the second year running,” explains Translators without Borders Executive Director Aimee Ansari.

“There’s a huge need for the most vulnerable to be able to access knowledge in a language they understand. While mobile technology brings more people information, Language Insight and our other sponsors help us bridge the ‘language last mile’. We are grateful to Language Insight for this assistance, which is critical to enable us, in turn, to support more humanitarian work around the globe.”
